A Bite Of The Big Apple of the Day: Andrew Clancy spent a year shooting random scenes around New York, the end result of which is this lovely five-minute compilation aptly entitled “A Year in New York.”

I’m not one for reblogging the Daily What because everyone reads it… but this video is great.

Living here, I’m constantly relearning what it means to love New York. Loving New York is like those wonderful/horrible relationships that everyone has at least once. You love the person so much and there is such a magic… you’d do anything for them. But sometimes he makes you so hurt and lonely and you’re crying on the subway and you’re wondering where he’s at and you just can’t keep up. And you’re just a cliched barely adult who can’t live without him. You know the pain is just what comes along with living with him.

New York is beautiful because everyone’s gonna have a different relationship with it. There’s an infinite amount of lives you could live here. There’s an infinite amount of routines to love.

Anyways. Sorry to be one of those people talking about loving New York. I would be rolling my eyes reading this a year ago. I gotta go explore now. See ya.
